After law school Scott joined the law firm of Wright, Fulford, Moorhead & Brown, P.A. in Orlando, FL. Much of his construction litigation experience relates to the preparing and foreclosing of construction liens, along with the collection of judgments. Scott was special counsel to the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) and prosecuted construction industry license holders regarding complaints against their license. Scott left to open Smothers Law Firm, P.A. in 2009. Since 2009 Scott has expanded his practice to include not only construction matters, but also foreclosure defense, landlord/tenant, estate, probate and trust litigation, commercial litigation, business/corporate formation and litigation, and other general civil litigation areas.
When away from the office Scott enjoys spending time with his family and traveling. He is also a car enthusiast.
